There are eight major Hawaiian islands for you to explore, and when traveling around them there are some things that you simply cannot miss out on.

When in Hawai’i…

Hawai’i, Hawaii’s ‘Big Island’, is home to many beautiful things to see and many adventurous things to do. One of the most incredible sights on this island is to pay a visit to Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Yes, if you’re brave enough, you can actually get up close and personal with an active volcano! You can see the lava actually flowing, while having the adventure of a lifetime.

So, when you visit ‘The Big Island’, make sure to head to Kilauea!

When in Maui…

In Maui there are a host of things for you to do, but something that you absolutely should do when on this beautiful island is take a road trip down the Hana Highway. By doing so you will be able to experience a 65-mile-long drive along and across the winding road that scours the north shore of the island, and you’ll see some unforgettable things when you do — waterfalls and panoramic ocean vistas that can only be seen in this part of the world, for one!

The Valley Isle truly is full of sights you need to see in your life, so make sure you go out there and see them.

When in O’ahu…

If you’re the type of person who loves seeing historic landmarks, then you should most definitely be heading to O’ahu. This island is the home of the world famous and historic Pearl Harbor. Upon a visit here, as reported on, you will find the Battleship Missouri Memorial, the Pacific Aviation Museum and the Arizona Memorial, all of which are a worth visit for all ages.

When in Lānaʻi…

Lānaʻi doesn’t have the same fame and status as its Hawaiian island kin, but it is just as good a place as any of them to visit. Yes, Lānaʻi truly is one Hawaii’s best kept secrets, and you can unearth the secrets of the island, which include beautiful beaches and pine trees that reach the clouds (almost, but not quite).

And, if you choose to unearth these secrets by traveling the island on horseback, you’ll be sure to have an experience that is as close to nature as is possible in the whole entire world, let alone just in this corner of it.

All of the Hawaiian islands have their own specific character and their own specific landmarks, and when in each it would be a good idea to take heed of the advice above to ensure that you get the absolute most out of your visits.

Maybe 2018 could be the year you make these Hawaiian visits?
