Sometimes you might not be able to travel because of work, family, money, etc. — BUT you can still experience a new culture through cooking. Here at Rise & Brine we’re cooking up adventures in the kitchen, and beyond, and inspiring you to explore your world in whatever way you can.

Hi! I’m Kristen.

I started Rise & Brine as a place to share travel tips and inspired recipes. I’m a super-enthusiastic home cook and wellness junkie, currently based in Boston, and want nothing more than to live on the road full-time with my amazing husband, Donald.

Since this isn’t currently an option, I’m exploring the world as much as I can, whenever I can.

When I’m not adventuring, you’ll find me cooking up creative, healthy recipes in my kitchen.
